Business Description
Purpose: To stimulate economic development in the downtown business district of Sylvania through organization, promotion and design.
Sylvania is a melting pot of eclectic shops, unique entertainment, special events, and festivals. A bustling downtown offers residents and visitors alike a leisurely afternoon browsing trendy boutiques and sampling delightful restaurants. Special events, festivals, movie nights and car shows add to the continuous excitement of a vital community.
In response to the growing need for downtown revitalization, beautification and retail strength, the Downtown Sylvania Association was formed. Through this association, downtown business, property owners and the community are involved in this revitalization effort.
The DSA is a nonprofit organization with no paid staff and organized in 2011. The dues and monies raised will be used for downtown activities - downtown events that bring the entire community to the area.
The DSA goal is to be a synergistic and cohesive group of people all working together to enhance the downtown business district. The association also serves as a communication network between downtown stakeholders.
